- 2 large oranges
- 2 large apples
- 12 ounce bag fresh cranberries, washed and drained
- 1 cup maple syrup
Zest the oranges, scraping only the orange part of the peeling off. (Avoid the white part – it’s bitter.) Set zest aside, and juice the oranges.
Peel, core and chop the apples.
In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, orange zest, orange juice, apples and maple syrup. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat; cook uncovered for 15 minutes, or until the cranberries have popped. Stir occasionally.
Cool, and transfer to a serving bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
