If you love the tropical feeling of being at the beach, you need this smoothie!

Exotic smoothie lovers unite! This tropical delight is healthy and delicious, and its taste will transport you to the islands. Healthy smoothies are typically refreshing and light, but this one surpasses all expectations by blending the sweetness of fresh fruit with the tang of ginger. Smoothie recipes come in all shapes and sizes, and you will not regret adding this one to your collection.

Originally, a part of a ‘Name that Smoothie’ contest on Facebook, this yummy drink received its name from a fan. Here’s what the winner had to say about what inspired her to choose the Awapuhi Green Smoothie name: “The ingredients remind me of being in Hawaii and driving along the highway seeing all the different native plants. Awapuhi means ginger.” ~ Michelle Thomas of Lompoc, CA

The awapuhi green smoothie is packed with healthy ingredients. Most notable is the ginger that gives this smoothie its unique zing. Ginger is great for detoxifying the body, which makes this the perfect smoothie for those times you are feeling a little under the weather or just recovering from an illness. It helps you flush out the toxins that accumulate in your body and makes the perfect addition to a rejuvenating spa day or when you are doing a cleanse or fast.

We love smoothies! If you are looking to incorporate smoothies into your everyday meal plan or as a once a week treat, try our Wake Me Up, Keep Me Going Smoothie or Fountain of Youth Smoothie.
