Ingredients
- 1 1/3 pounds lean ground turkey breast, the average weight of 1 package
- 1 egg
- 2 Green Peppers, diced (optional)
- A handful cilantro, chopped very fine, about 2 tablespoons, optional
- Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons mild curry paste or a handful of curry powder
- Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil
- 5 crusty whole grain rolls, split
- *Note – If you are doing a low-carb diet, instead of using the rolls or a bun, you can put the burger between two large lettuce leaves.
- Toppings:
- Lettuce
- Sliced vine-ripe tomatoes
- Mango chutney (preferred brands: Major Grey's or Patak's Mango Chutney)
Directions
Combine ingredients and form into 5 patties.
Brush or drizzle patties with extra-virgin olive oil. Grill patties 6 minutes on each side on indoor electric grill or pan fry for same amount of time in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
Pile patties on split crusty rolls with lettuce, tomato, and chutney spread liberally on roll tops as a condiment.

We don't as a rule care for turkey burger's but we really did like these. I think next time though I might cut back on the cilamtro a bit and make them a little spicer.
I make a similar turkey burger, but instead of chutney, I make a delicious sauce using plain greek yogurt as the base and adding curry powder and minced garlic – it's delicious! The longer you let the sauce sit, the more flavorful it gets!
WiseLiama2, YUM….that sounds delish! What else goes in the recipe? Or, is it just greek yogurt, curry powder and garlic?
Looks a lot like a recipe from Rachael Ray.
