2. Cranwater

cranberry-600x389

We all know water is a diuretic and it’s great for the entire body. Combine it with cranberry juice, and it becomes a fantastic fat- and water-flushing drink. The cranberry juice contains high levels of organic acids, which (when consumed on a regular basis) may help your body actually dissolve fatty deposits.

To mix this one up, combine 5-6 ounces of water and 8 ounces of 100% cranberry juice. You’ll want to make sure to use 100% cranberry juice with nothing else added.

3. Grapefruit Juice

Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice is one of the best things for your body! Grapefruits contain high amounts of Vitamin C, which helps your body to detoxify naturally. This drink helps your liver do the job it was meant to do – detoxify and metabolize your body!

We love using natural sweeteners like agave or honey to sweeten up grapefruit juice. Check out this Zingy Pink Grapefruit Soda for a refreshing way to detox your body.

4. Green Tea

Green tea is one of the most famous drinks to flush the fat away. Like cranberry juice, green tea is extremely high in antioxidants. It is known for helping many dieters lose fat quicker than usual when consumed 2-3 times a day. Green tea not only flushes away the fat, but also is packed with other helpful benefits for your body, too.

5. Water

Yes, we know…What a shock; plain old water! But, truly, your body needs plenty of water to facilitate the breakdown of fat in your body. Drinking water will help flush out toxins and keep you energized so that your body to perform at it’s best. If you have trouble, try flavoring your water!

Keep in mind that drinking tons of water is not the answer to losing weight. You will still need to follow a proper diet and an appropriate exercise regime. Drinking water will keep your body clean and allow your organs to work properly instead of working overtime to keep your body going.

If you want to flush the fat away with these 5 delicious drinks, they won’t work miracles alone, but they’re a great start! 1. Hello Everyone!
The recipe for the fat flush water is per 8 ounce serving. So, it would be 8 ounces of water along with the fruits and vegetables and combine all of this together in a large pitcher. The longer it sets the better it is. Enjoy!

    2. 8 ounces to all of the fruits listed  = 1 serving
You will need 24 ounces for a full day supply along with triple the fruits on the recipe card = 1 whole day serving (3 servings)

    1. Add one slice (section) of grapefruit and 1 tangerine sliced. You CAN eat the ingredients if you want, but they are mainly there for the taste. You can mix all of this the night before (the longer it sits the better it tastes) and drink 8 ounces before each meal 3 x's a day for 10 days. Hope this helps!

      1. Clemetines are much more plentiful around here than tangerines are.  Would they have the same effect?

  1. One slice of grapefruit: is that like a sliver or section?  One tangerine: is that squeezed into the water?

    1. one whole grapefruit. Slice it and add to water. Tangerine can be squeezed but same nutrients if you just slice and add to water.

    1. I have watched a video on how to make this water and according to the video Oranges make a good substitute.

  2. I peeled an Orange and a Grapefruit and half of a cucumber …. Way to much Grapefruit I Put in there … I put in Half of a Grapefruit a whole orange and half a Cucumber … forgot how over powering Grapefruit can be still drank it though… and flush it did which is a good thing !!!

  3. I don't understand–where do the 5 drinks come in.  Do you make one with grapefruit, one with tangerine , one with cucumber and one with peppermint.  Sounds like you make one drink with all of the above so why does it say 5 Fat Flushing drinks.  Also why are all the comments so messed up and on top of another.  Makes for very hard reading.  I want to try this but want to get it right before mixing everything up.  Thanks for your answers.

    1. The other "drinks" are listed below the fat flushing drink paragraph, they are not recipes. There is cranwater, grapefruit juice, water and green tea. 😀

  4. Trying to read this on phone so please excuse if seems silly … Triple the amounts of fruits if combining for 24oz? Or same amount of fruits just in pitcher with 24oz of water?

    1. Recipe calls for half a gallon. 8 cups in half a gallon = 64 oz total makes two 24oz drinks + one 16 oz drink

  5.  Again, is it ok to substitute Clementines or something else for the tangerines?  Tangerines are not in season and not available.  Thanks!

  6. If you look below the recipe for the fat flushing water, you will see the other 4 drinks recommended being cranwater, grapefruit juice, water and green tea.

  7. Where do u find 100% cranberry juice?? I read every label in my grocery store….even the bottle that said it was 100% had other juices in it!

  9. Can you substitute the grapefruit for another type of fruit? I take a lot of meds so I don't want grapefruit to interfere with it. Thanks for answering my question.

  10. If you go look at the original recipe on Dr Oz's site, the fruit ingredients should be combined with one pitcher of water and then consumed 8 oz. at a time – not 8 oz of water combined with all that fruit.

  11. I'm confused… Your ingredients say per 8oz. serving, and when you visit the Dr. Oz page it says per pitcher, yet the ingredient quantities are the same. Which is correct?

    On your site:
Ingredients, per 8-ounce serving. Water 1 slice grapefruit 1 tangerine ½ cucumber, sliced 2 peppermint leaves Ice – as much as you like

    Dr. Oz Recipe
    Fat Flush Water
    Ingredients, per 1 pitcher

    Water
    1 slice grapefruit
    1 tangerine
    ½ cucumber, sliced
    2 peppermint leaves
    Ice

    1. Tricia, You simply add the ingredients to a pitcher and stir. Ours also says add to pitcher. Does this clear it up?

      1. I think! Basically the ingredients are per pitcher, not per 8 ounce serving as was stated on your page. So for example, there's not 1 slice of grapefruit for every 8 ozs., but rather 1 slice of grapefruit per pitcher.

          1. I would probably do it as you state here. I'm thinking only one slice per picture may not be quite enough. BUT, that's just me. I would also not "nit-pick" this and just get a pitcher, and get the fruit and go for it. 🙂 Thanks Skinny Ms.!

  12. I'm confused… Your ingredients say per 8oz. serving, and when you visit the Dr. Oz page it says per pitcher, yet the ingredient quantities are the same. Which is correct?

    1. Debbie, In most grocery store’s produce section. It can be hard to find certain times of the year so I would sub with mint leaves.

    2. I'm a little late weighing in on this.. but you can buy a mint plant from the grocery store…I planted mine in a pot.. they like sun. It will do really well in a pot and grow like crazy! 🙂

  13. I know this has been commented on a lot already….but I find the directions confusing. Just 8 oz of water? Or fill the pitcher?

  14. wondering if you can re use the fruit afer you have drank all of the water or is it a must that you change it out???

    1. Pat, Peppermint has a lot of beneficial uses:
      Irritable bowel syndrome
      Indigestion
      Heartburn
      Nausea

  15. Do you peel the fruit before putting it in the pitcher and also, can you use mint instead of peppermint? Wasn't sure if it would make a big difference. Thanks

  16. So once you finish the pitcher….can you just refill with water or do you have to put fresh ingredients in each time????

  17. ok, I completely did this wrong, there is a recipe floating around Facebook that you put all that fruit in one 16oz bottle then fill with water. glad I only made 4 …..I will remake in a pitcher. Much easier

  18. Anyone heard of the 3 day military diet? wonder if the results are greater if you do the two together?

  19. Can you leave out the peppermint? I can't have mint at all it makes me so sick so is there something else I should use or can I just leave it out??

  20. What about the fruit and cuke after you drink it? Will it still have value and just add water to it for the next day?

  21. I just made this. It is in the fridge now sitting now. After reading comments, I too added a whole grapefruit! Was I supposed to? Should I start over? Will it be too much? (LOL)

    1. Laura, Don’t worry that will be fine. Next time, use about 6 grapefruit wedges. I clarified in the ingredients. 🙂

    2. Grapefruit is very low calorie, naturally cleansing, and contains a property that can rev up your metabolism, so no it's not too much for these drinks!

    1. Naomi, It depends on tons of factors, weight, age, other foods consumed, etc.. I would recommend the Fat Flush Drinks in addition to a healthy diet with portion control. 🙂

    1. The leaves infuse into the water. If you'd like you can strain the water through a fine mesh strainer prior to serving or blend the leaves with some of the water, and add into the drink, and drink.

  22. 2 l water – use ozonated water
900gr grafruit – organic if you can
900gr oranges – organic if you can
200gr lemon – organic if you can
Squeeze the fruit and that will yield approximately 1 l of juice. Mix 2l water and 1l juice and drink all day.

    ENJOY!

  23. its certainly a great drink, i put it in my water bottle every single morning i change my fruit and veggies.

Mix it up as much as you want, lime, lemon, grapefruit, mint, cucumber, tangerines are tough as they are rarely in season.

Thats what I use every morning in my water bottle,

six slices of cucumber, one big slice of grapefruit, half a lemon with the peel ON, and three or four mint leaves.
Then i just fill up my water bottle at least four times a day if not more. Empty in the evening and start again in the morning. Cheap, and makes your water taste great.

    Makes regular water boooooring.

  24. I am on cholesterol medication and can't have grapefruit. Can I substitute something for the grapefruit?

    1. Yes you can try a mixture of orange and lemon or orange and lime juice (3 parts orange juice to 1 part lemon or lime).

  25. Are we supposed to peel the citrus fruits? or just slice them with the skins on? The water tastes bitter with the skins on…your recipe does not say. Please clarify, thank you!

    1. Hi Miriam, Sliced with the peels on is how it's usually done. If the peel is too bitter for you, you can remove it and slice.

  26. Aren't you just creating sugar water without the fiber of the fruit itself? Doesn't sound like a very good idea to me. Drink water instead and have a small amount of fruit. Then you get the vitamins and the fiber. But stay away from fruit juice. It's almost as bad as the artificial juice drinks you find in so many stores. Eat more green vegetables, lean protein and unsaturated fats too.

  27. It says 8 ounch of infused water with each meal 3 times a day. for 10 days. If no Tangerines in the stores, use another citrus fruit.

    1. Morye, Every case is different, you should check with your dr before having these drinks, especially the juices. The infusions may be a safer bet:).

    1. Priyanka, Just drink the water. If you want to you can eat the fruit, too. Usually the fruit will stay in the bottom of the glass.

      1. Thank You for reply. .i have two more query hope you will solve that too.
        1. i can have this water anytime over day?
        2. Should i have to make this flush water everynight with fresh fruit or i can use same fruit for two three day?

        1. Priyanka, Yes, have this water throughout the day. The same fruit will be good for 2 days, refrigerated.

          1. Thank You.
in how many days or month effect of having this flush water will start?

          2. Priyanka, You will feel the effects drinking enough water has on your body right away. The reason these fruit-infused drinks are great is because the yummy flavor will make sure you drink enough water during the day. In general, the amount of water an average sized woman should drink to feel healthiest is 88 ounces per day (128 ounces for men), but the amount does vary a little according to weight and activity level. A lot of use don’t drink enough water!

  28. Not trying to be a party pooper, but you needed to mention the part about proper diet and exercise as well as telling the masses that being healthy is not just a diet and a fad about something that had been around for quite some time, but it is a lifestyle as well.

  29. I really don't see what is so confusing, it all seems simply stated. I have been detoxing with mint, cucumber, lemon/lime and either raspberry or strawberry (which ever I have on hand) to iced water. This I do every Monday but I use a large water dispenser. This plan looks do-able to me. Thanks!

  30. 1/2 gallon water
    6 wedges pink grapefruit
1 tangerine, mandarin, or small orange
    ,sliced ½ cucumber,
    sliced
    2 mint leaves,
    Ice
Scrape the cucumber with a potato peeler and peel the Grapefruit and Tangerine, grate half a teaspoon of the zest of the orange add mint leaves and ice and blitz everything together in a blender.
Add this to the water stir well leave for 2 hours or more then drink throughout the day 250ml at a time.
    TRUST ME IT WORKS !

  31. Hi

i just wanted to know if I can coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening with this. Will it have the same effect?

  32. It’s not rocket science. Some of you are being way too literal… Pick some citrus and fruit that you like and that you can eat, along with some herbs like perhaps rosemary or mint. Put them in a large picture of water and put it in the fridge. When your thirsty grab a glass of water…. I have a rosemary plant in my backyard so I enjoy using rosemary, along with cucumber or lemon or orange. Whatever I happen to have on hand.

  33. These detox drinks are great but i went a step further and used blue fat freeze system also because my annoying bulges where really getting on my nerves. It worked and I’ve got an almost lean body so i’ll just keep on doing what i did and hopefully will get rid of belly fat too.

  34. Good day to you all………………………… Just curious….where are the testimonials from using this and how long should you stay on it after 10 days. Thank you

    1. Vivian, We don’t add testimonials directly to the individual posts. Feel free to add one in the comments section below, when you’re ready. 🙂

  35. Good morning ..
I just started this morning drinking the cranwater and it’s really good ..
Please forgive if this question has already been answered but I’ve got a 16oz glass water bottle and was wondering if I could double the cranwater recipe so I could drink that through out the day instead of the 4x?
If so could you please assist me in doubling the recipe, I do have a learning disability and want to make sure I do this right ?..maybe my husband who has acid reflux could use this yummy tonic too..

    God bless

    1. Hi Lydia! You can most definitely double the Cranwater recipe! To double, combine 10 to 12 ounces of water and 16 ounces of no-sugar added 100% cranberry juice.

      1. Thank you so much Nichole for your sweet assistance .. could my husband have it too ?
Bless you and everyone on skinny ms.

        1. Hi Lydia, yes, your husband can have it as long as it doesn’t bother his acid reflux. If he’s concerned, he should talk to his doctor before trying it.

  36. I need a superb recipe that can instantly lead me to losing weight, because there’re many ingredients given by different people used to say that are parts of flushing away your fat body, i know that there must be an actual ones that use in this matter, what are they?

    1. Hi Adam, the ingredients in these recipes, along with staying hydrated, will help you detox and flush fat from your system. I hope this helps. Have a great day!
