Honey-Dijon Glazed Salmon with a Hint of Lemon

Here is a glazed salmon recipe that's quick and easy to make plus its high in vitamins that will make you feel good.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce wild alaskan salmon fillet
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • sea salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to broil.
  • Combine honey, mustard and lemon juice n a small bowl.
  • Line a rimmed cookie sheet with foil. Spread ¾ honey over salmon, covering both sides. Place salmon skin-side down on cookie sheet, drizzle with remaining honey. Place in oven 4-5” from broiler. Broil 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  • If you're a weight trainer, serve over a bed of quinoa or brown rice for an additional 9 grams of protein; otherwise, a side salad is perfect!

  1. Would this work well with any other types of fish? Our family are not big salmon fans. Thanks so much!

    1. Lisa, It really depends on the fish. Salmon is thicker than most fish so it takes a little longer to cook. I would recommend keeping a close
      eye on it and checking for doneness when it flakes easily with a fork. 🙂

    1. The honey-dijon mix would work well with a grilled lean chicken breast or roasted veggies served over a bed of brown rice or quinoa, too.

  2. This was delicious! I will definitely try the honey-dijon mix with other types of fish and probably chicken as well. Would also be great to grill during the summer months.

    1. Amanda, I would recommend broiling on low. This might take a little longer but the salmon won’t burn on the top!

    1. You can cook the salmon at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes each side (16 minutes total) or just until firm and flaky!
