You can trick anyone into eating their veggies with this yummy dip!
Here’s another yummy dip recipe submitted by talented recipe blogger Kristen, from Make the Best of Everything. This healthy avocado dip is delicious and packed with nutrients. It is a great option for people who have a dislike of vegetables, but know they are a vital part of a healthy diet. If you are looking for a creative way to help kids eat enough veggies, this pea and avocado dip is a great solution.
One of the most popular recommendations for people trying to eat enough fruits and vegetables is to mix them up in a smoothie. This allows you to blend the sweet taste of fruit with vegetables you might not like as much. The fruit masks the taste, but you still get the nutrition in the less-tasty veggies. Dips can accomplish the same goal. You blend foods you like and dislike into a single dish and enjoy the taste of a single dish. Best of all, with a dip, it feels a little indulgent and as if you are “cheating” your healthy eating plan!
Dips are also great party food. No matter how casual or formal your event, people love to nosh on crunchy dippers while socializing with friends and family. Even if you are planning a small even with just a few friends, a bowl of this avocado dip and some baked tortilla dips is a great snack.

Sounds interesting … but what do you dip in this other than chips? (Since we're trying to remain skinny, that is.)
Lola, I dip veggies, mainly carrots and zucchini sticks.
I normally use unsalted rice crackers when I don't feel like eating veggis with a dip
Does it taste like peas? Can you taste peas?
Elle, I can barely taste the peas, but that's just me. Keep us posted.
How long will this last? Can you make a batch on Sunday and it will last throughout the week? Concerned about the browning of avocado but with the lime juice…
This is one of those recipes, like guacamole, that really is best eaten the day it's prepared. It might still be okay the following day, but that's it. To prevent immediate browning of a dip with avocado, add one avocado pit back into the finished dip and keep it there.
I actually love the taste of spinach and peas but definitely not so much avocado. Which can you taste most? Also, does it work in a blender?
Claudia, You taste the avocado and the peas the most.
