Make your breakfast better with this creamy and delicious smoothie.

Try a special treat that’s full of nutrients and ultra thick and yummy. This strawberry banana smoothie recipe is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a post-workout snack. It is packed with fresh berries and bananas, so all of the sweetness comes from fresh fruit. With plenty of vitamins and nutrients, healthy smoothies are a great meal replacement option or a treat when you get a craving for something sweet.

Smoothie recipes are extremely flexible. Mixing fruit with other ingredients often overpowers the less appealing taste of vegetables, protein, and other add-ins. This makes smoothies a great option for getting vegetables into kids and adults who tend to shy away from the somewhat bitter taste of raw veggies. Blend up some spinach or kale with a few apples and berries and you would never know you are downing several servings of raw leafy greens. Imagine that – raw veggies actually tasting like dessert! It’s a dream come true for moms and dieters alike.

  1. strawberry banana is my favorite!! i use fresh strawberries and bananas! easy, breezy, delicious and oh so good for you!!

  2. I don't use fat free or low fat milks, yogurts etc. They seem to always replace the fat with some kind of chemical. I would rathèr use less of it than put those yucky chemicals in my family.

  3. yummy, didn't have some so improvised 🙂 Greek yogurt was replaced with a mint chocolate chip yogurt (will add the right yogurt and mint next time) and no wheat germ so added chia seeds and was like an ice cream that was smooth and rich would be perfect for summer desserts.

loved how easy it was too.

    1. You can eliminate the yogurt from the recipe without any substitutions. If you’re looking for some added protein, you can add a tsp of chia or flax seeds.
