15 Fruit Juice Combinations to Cleanse and Detox

Support your weight-loss goals or detox with these great juices.

Fresh fruit juices are a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth while also getting your daily nutrients. Adding juices made from whole, natural fruits and vegetables to your diet will help keep you healthy. They’re great in the morning, for lunch or a mid-day snack, and you could even use the sweeter combinations as an after-dinner treat. Just remember that fruit contains sugar, so you don’t want to over-do it. That’s why we put together these incredible juice combinations to cleanse and detox.

You can have a juice any time of the day for a pick-me-up, but keep in mind you’ll need to create a calorie deficit if you’re hoping to lose weight. Most people follow a 500 calorie deficit, and some juices can be high in calories. Stick to some of these combinations to keep the calories low, or fit in an extra workout if you need to burn off some extra calories! For most of these juice combos, we use a juicer. If you don’t have one, a Vitamix or a blender will do just fine.

Health Benefits

These fruit juice combinations to cleanse and detox offer a variety of health benefits. When combined together, these superfoods pack a powerful nutritional punch! For example, cucumber alone helps cleanse the body (specifically the kidneys), while parsley offers mild diuretic properties. And the alkaline fluid of watermelon neutralizes acids and flushes toxins out of the kidneys.

So, for a whole body cleanse, a juice that contains a combination of cucumber, watermelon and parsley provides a total detoxification of some of your most important elimination organs. Add a touch of ginger and it tastes fantastic! These juices also act as a blood cleanser while offering sustained energy. As a bonus, you’ll also get a metabolic boost to support weight loss goals.

Why Juice?

If you are trying to cut calories, hunger can be a challenging obstacle. A short juice fast (one or two days) can help train your body and mind to consume less food, and therefore fewer calories. However, many people are unaware that store-bought juices do not contain all the nutrients you’d hope to find in fruit or vegetable juice.

Bottled juices must be pasteurized in order to stay on the shelf. Because the shelf life of fresh juice is short, the pasteurization process allows the juice to remain in stores until it reaches the consumer, but that also means it loses all of the important nutrients, leaving behind only sugar and flavor. That’s not good! You want to be sure that, whether you’re doing a short juice fast or you’re just substituting a meal, you make the juice the same day you plant to consume it.

Vitamix blenders are the perfect complement to our clean, lean approach to eating. These high-powered blenders puree a variety of whole foods into a completely smooth consistency. All without losing any of the fiber or nutrients! Prepare everything from smoothies, ice creams, frozen drinks, and full-fiber juices to nut butters, creamy dips, salad dressings, and sauces.

The Vitamix comes with a 7-year warranty, self-cleaning mode, and excellent customer service. That all comes together to give you a tool that will make your days easier and healthier. Not to mention, the blender will last a lifetime!

For all the combinations below, you’ll want to follow the same process. Mix together the following fruits or vegetables in equal parts. So, for example, one cup of apple juice and one cup of pear juice. Then, blend the juice with ice in a 2:1 ratio. So, for this example, you’d want to add one cup of ice for those two cups of fruit juice. For the herbs, you won’t need equal parts: Just a touch will do!
