11. Thaw your poultry or meat before adding it to the slow cooker.

12. Poultry and meat cook faster than vegetables. Therefore, put the vegetables first and the meat on top.

    From your tips, it says to add dairy product the last 15 minutes.. when I make Broccoli Cheese Soup.. if I wait till the end to add the cheese, it curdles.. but if I add it at the beginning and it slowly melts with everything it doesn't curdle…..
