  1. I love beets. Cooked, cold beets sliced & soaked in vinegar water. Put in a mixed green salad they add bite to the salad. Delicious alone too with the vinegar water salt pepper & garlic powder to taste

    1. It’s fine to drink it a few times per week. Consider this: all the ingredients are super healthy and full of antioxidants! You could call it, Superfood Juice. 🙂

    1. Lidia, The beet juice is very healty and can be one part of most any eating plan. 21 days is a long time, so be sure to get in a vareity of foods, lean protein, healthy fats, and gpod carbs.

  2. When I don’t have beets, how much organic beet powder would you suggest I add to the coconut water? This also makes it a portable option when traveling when you may want this drink the most and it’s easy to find coconut water these days. I even have powdered coconut water that I use mainly for that purpose since it’s rather pricey.

    1. Cheryl, We haven’t tried the beet powder but after reading one a nutritional label, it sounds like 2 teaspoons would work. You can always add more or less depending on your taste.

  3. I’m trying to understand where all the sodium comes from. Is it in coconut water? It’s not in beets, I would assume, or the lemon. So coconut water.??

    1. Hi Edythe. The sodium in this recipe comes from the coconut water. We did double check the nutritional information just to be sure!

  4. How much beet juice would you recommend pairing with how much coconut water if the beet juice is already prepared? Would you still add the lemon juice?

  5. I need a Beet Juice recipe that has 5 day shelf life. I work on a ship , we have a fridge but I bring prepared food. Thanks.
