You and your dog will love this easy to make dog biscuit recipe. It’s also important to know where your pet’s food is manufactured. Since we consider our pets to be family members, it’s a must to know exactly what goes into the food they consume and where it’s produced. We think you’ll find our pet recipes to be made with healthy ingredients, yummy, and easy to make.

    1. Trish, Store the whole batch in the fridge, just taking out a little at a time and leaving on the shelf to be at room temperature.

  1. These are very tasty! I tried them first! I would sure like to find more recipes for diabetic dogs. They seem to be scarce or I don’t know where to look! Nice site you have. Thanks for all your work!

    1. JoAnn, Hmmmmm…I can’t say how they’d turn out if PB is replaced wtih applesauce, since we haven’t tried that.
Yes, they are crunchy but can be baked for less time if a softer biscuit is needed. 🙂

      Keep us posted!

  2. Hello can you use silicone paw print or dog biscuit shaped bake ware instead of cookie cutters ?
    Cindi

    1. I created this recipe and they kept fine for one week. They would likely last longer, but they were gone in a week. 🙂

  3. I made these for my children’s dogs for Christmas. They are delicious!! My hubby and I ate one. So good. Can you freeze them?? Thanks for the wonderful recipe?

    1. Hi Norma, Definitely you can freeze them. When I make a batch, once they are cool, I freeze them all and take one out to thaw (takes a few minutes), then my dog devours it.

I’m so happy you, hubby, and your grand dogs enjoyed! 🙂

      1. Hello!
I’m a college student from Sweden that decided to run a company for 1 year there I’m making my own dog treats and selling them , Due to some rules I decided to make them vegan so I would like to use your reciepe and I wonder if it’s any other reciepe that I can use as well 😊
I’m tired of the dog treats in the pet stores that comes from factories so that’s why I decided to make something special for dog owners

  4. Thank you! This is an absolutely fabulous recipe. Easy to make and my dogs love them. It is great knowing that I am feeding my dogs healthy and nutritious snacks.

  5. These are perfect treats for dogs! I’ve made them 4 times. I always add the oats a little at a time & wind up with 1/4 cup extra. The batch that’s in the oven now has half sweet potato & half banana. I break them into pieces & use as training treats, too. My Dh has requested one for himself! ? Thanks for the healthy recipe.

  6. I have a similar recipe that calls for leaving the treats in the oven until completely cold. It dehydrates them, so u can put them in an air tight container & keep indefinitely. Of course, they don’t last that long. I use a metal shot glass for a cookie cutter, so they are bite size or just right for small dogs. Just made this recipe, it’s cooling in the oven. Will see if they dehydrate like the others.

    1. Hi Paula, any time you can reduce the amount of moisture in the treats (by cooling properly, dehydrating, etc), it will allow you to store them for a longer period of time and prevent spoiling. Let us know how it works out for you!

  7. These look wonderful. What can i replace the Oatmeal with? One of my dogs is allergic to Oatmeal, barley, rice, and flax. Anything other i can use? Thanks

    1. I used coconut flour, my dog is allergic to everything. But the coconut oil and flour are fine for him. Many recipes say you can substitute other flours also. 🙂

  8. What an easy & healthy recipe for our Claudia Bell & Loki. They sure did gobble them up. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

  9. Loved the recipe! So easy to make and my puppies LOVE them! If you use ripe bruised bananas, the biscuits taste sweeter! I made a couple batches and got to taste test. Definitely will be making again!

  10. I’m sorry but the recipe doesn’t list flour in the ingredients. How much flour?
It states to stir in the flour.

    1. Wanda, Please read the instructions. Flour is made with the oats. You can also use oat flour (2 cups) already ground.

  11. I didn’t have banana so I used 1/4 cup organic pumpkin. I also used steel cut oats as my flour. My mix was very dry so I added some water. They’re baking now, hopefully they turn out as great as the other reviews!

    1. Carin, Interesting. I’ve never used steel cut oats to make the flour. Please keep us posted. 🙂
