Spice up normal applesauce with this delish recipe!
Looking for a slow cooker recipe that is hearty and tastes delicious? Our pomegranate spiced applesauce recipe is tart, tasty, and filled with healthy ingredients. We love it alone or paired with pork. It makes a great addition to a holiday dinner or can be part of a usual weekday meal. If you love applesauce and you are looking for a way to make it even better, this recipe is a great option.
Applesauce is typically a very healthy food when it is made with fresh, whole ingredients. It is a great way to eat applesauce for a number of reasons. Kids love it and it is a great alternative to high sugar and highly processed pudding and Jello. It is also great for older people who might not be able to chew or digest whole apples like they used to. Applesauce can even be jazzed up with cinnamon and other spices to give it a unique taste. You can even mix other fruits into applesauce for a change of pace, which is the case with this pomegranate spiced version.
Create a healthy dessert substitute by topping our pound cake with the applesauce.
