A hand-held meal toasted to sweet and crunchy perfection!

Our Peach toast with cream cheese and honey is a breakfast you and the kids will love!

Are you looking for a little variation from your standard toast for breakfast? Perhaps you LOVE the creaminess of avocado toast, but have a craving for something sweet? Well, if that’s the case, you’ll LOVE this recipe for peach toast with cream cheese and honey. Not only does it deliver sweet and creamy perfection, but we’ve made this version with healthy ingredients, too. With our blend of flavors, it will remind you of eating a creamy peach cobbler, but healthier!

Choosing Healthier Ingredients

This 5-minute toast is a great way to satisfy your early morning sweet tooth in a healthier way.

We love adding a cream cheese topper to healthy slices of toasted wheat bread. Tablespoon for tablespoon, it can be a much more satisfying choice than butter, and, by using reduced-fat spreadable cream cheese, it’s also better for you! And speaking of wheat bread, we selected to use it over white because it offers more fiber! As far as the honey goes, you will use about a half tablespoon per slice of toast, however, feel free to use less to help cut out a few more carbs. The cinnamon and peaches make this recipe delightfully sweet already!

Tasty 5-Minute Toast!

Whip up this yummy toast in no time!

Choose your favorite whole wheat bread for this recipe, but we recommend you use a thicker-sliced option, not super-skinny toasts. Spread the cream cheese on the toast– it will go on more easily if the toast is still warm. Slice a ripe, juicy peach thinly and layer it on the cream cheese. For added sweetness, (and to help the cinnamon stick!), drizzle the peach slices with a bit of honey. Finally, sprinkle your peaches with a little of that cinnamon and enjoy! Mmmm…warm toast, luscious cream cheese, fruity peach and sweet cinnamon. I’ll bet you can taste it already!

Make it Fit Your Dietary Preferences

Fiber-rich toast, savory cream cheese, and sweet peaches, honey, and cinnamon create a delectable breakfast!

If you are trying to stick to a dairy-free eating plan, there are some great alternative cream “cheeses” on the market now that would work perfectly well in this recipe. If you want to go vegan with it, substitute agave syrup for the honey. And although we call for a whole-wheat bread, you can use gluten-free varieties if you need to. No matter how you “slice” it, this toast recipe will leave you happy and satisfied.

    1. Trin, Organic doesn’t necessarily mean something is clean eating. We base it on the ingredients and kinds of foods…i.e. processed vs. whole foods.
