Slow Cooker Cranberry Nut Stuffed Baked Apples
This slow cooker baked apple dessert is low in sugar, making it the perfect sweet treat to enjoy without the added guilt!

- 6 medium tart apples such as Granny Smith
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup walnuts roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 cup water
Core the apples and remove the peel from just the top 1/4 inch of the apple.
In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients except the water and mix well. Once combined, stuff the mixture into the center of the apple, where the core was removed. Place the stuffed apples into the slow cooker and pour the water around the apples. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
