Whole Wheat Pita Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 4 whole-wheat pita
  • 1 tomato sliced into thin rounds
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese fresh, low-fat, sliced into thin rounds
  • 2 tablespoons basil fresh, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
  • In small bowl, combine oil and garlic. Brush onto each pita. Top with tomato and mozzarella on top of tomato.
  • Bake for 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh basil. Cut, serve, and enjoy.
