Add 1 cup milk to a saucepan, heat to steaming, remove from heat and add tea bags. Allow tea bags to steep for 10 minutes, remove bags and pour chai milk into a large saucepan along with all other ingredients. Stir ingredients, heat on medium-low until desired heat.
Remove cinnamon stick and cloves. Serve in mugs using a ladle.
Tip: For a frothy presentation, while still in the saucepan, whisk for about one minute. Be careful not to allow contents to splash on skin as it is very hot at this point.Sucanat can be found in the organic section of most grocery stores and in all whole food type stores. Honey can be substituted for sucanat in equal amounts.
