Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 pound lean ground beef optional turkey
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt divided
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper divided
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 egg

Marinara

  • 23 to 24 ounces Italian marinara jar
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk canned
  • 4 sage leaves fresh, coarsely chopped

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine meat, bread crumbs, egg, Parmesan, onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Place meatballs in the slow cooker.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine marinara ingredients and pour over meatballs. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours or until meatballs are cooked through.
