Date Butter Spread


Add dates to a medium stainless steel bowl. Bring water to a boil, pour over dates, then tightly cover with foil or a lid. Allow to sit covered at room temperature for 4 hours.


Add softened dates and water to a food processor and pulse until a smooth, butter-like consistency. It may take a few minutes of pulsing until the butter consistency is achieved. It should look similar to apple butter.


Store in a glass container (a mason jar works well) and refrigerate.
