Ingredients

  • 1 Large Sweet Potato washed and peeled

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  • Slice into 1/4-inch rounds. Alternatively, you can also cut into strips, similar to French fries, for a chewier treat.
  • Place the sweet potato slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced and not touching each other. This allows for proper air circulation during the dehydration process.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the sweet potato slices for 3 hours. After 3 hours, flip the slices to ensure uniform dehydration, and continue baking for an added 3 hours until they are dry and leathery.
  • Once the sweet potato slices are fully dehydrated, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
  • Store the dehydrated sweet potato dog treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. For longer shelf-life, you can store them in the refrigerator or freezer for up to 3 months.
