Ingredients

  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar or mirin
  • 1 tablespoon honey or coconut palm sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger root fresh, peeled and grated
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  • Combine the soy sauce, vinegar or mirin, sweetener, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan with 1/4 cup water. Bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch with the water and add it to the pot. Boil for 1 minute and turn off the heat. Serve.
