Morning Stretching Routine for When It’s Too Cold to Get Out of Bed

Wake up and warm up!

It’s winter and sometimes it’s just too cold to get out of bed. Use this yoga morning stretch routine to wake up and warm up right from under the sheets! We’ve chosen poses to stretch your back, chest, and hips, so you can fight the temptation to huddle under the covers. You’ll finish this routine feeling much more energized and ready to tackle the day!

What to Do: Hold each pose for at least 30 seconds, breathing deeply throughout. You can hold the poses for longer if it feels comfortable to you.

Below, we’ve included videos showing how to perform each pose. Using proper form helps prevent injuries and ensures you’re getting the most out of the routine.

1. Cat Cow Pose
2. Cobra Pose
