Abs, abs, abs! Having strong abdominal muscles is a common goal among both men and women. And yet, abs too often remain elusive. Different trainers prefer different abdominal exercises. These are five of our best ab exercises. We’ve found them to be some of the most effective at creating strength and definition.
You can incorporate these moves into your own ab routine or follow the workout outlined below.
What You’ll Need: a gym timer (free apps are available for download), a light dumbbell (2-8 lbs) and a mat to lay on the floor.
What to Do: Perform each exercise for 50 seconds with 10 seconds of rest in between. Rest for for 30-60 seconds and repeat.
Beginners: 2 rounds
Intermediate: 3 rounds
Advanced: 4 rounds
