You can’t have Thanksgiving (or Christmas even) without a cranberry-inspired recipe on the table! It just ties everything together, doesn’t it? Aside from the wonderful, sweet-tart flavor they provide, cranberries are also incredibly good for you! Fresh cranberries are considered a superfood because of their high nutrient and antioxidant content. They also have the ability to boost immune function, something we can all use in the winter months.

The other main flavor in this recipe is the orange juice and orange zest. We all know there are health benefits to eating oranges due to their heavy concentration of vitamin C. This vitamin promotes a healthy immune system and can help to control blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and blood sugar.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning the cinnamon in this recipe. This versatile spice can elevate the flavor profile of just about any recipe, including this seasonal sauce. Plus, it offers a wide range of medicinal properties.
