  1. Great tips! I'm paticularly interested in number 1. Are there certain fruits to avoid a spike in blood sugar levels? Or certain fruits someone trying to lose weight should avoid in general?

    1. Elle, The sugary foods to stay away from are simple carbohydrates, which include things like cookies, candy, pastries, ice cream, etc.. There aren't any fruits I'd avoid…they're just too healthy to avoid. If you would like a list of several foods to avoid and those to eat, send me an email and I'll send it to you. gale@skinnyms.com

  2. GREAT tips! I would change #8 to skip full fat dairy. More and more scientific studies have proved the calcium in dairy aids in fat burning. Have a small glass of skim milk after a workout or a yogurt before a meal.

  3. Aren't there certain benefits to dairy/milk products? Is there something we should take to replace those nutrients like a certain vitamin or something?

    1. Amanda, Yes. I’ve update the post to include low-fat dairy. Calcium is something to talk to your doctor about including as a daily supplement.
