Hot, healthy dinners = happy, healthy you!

6. Ground Turkey and Sweet Potato Skillet
Ground turkey – the go to ingredient for meat-eaters who also want to live clean-eating lifestyles. It is a much healthier alternative from ground beef. It’s higher in protein, lower in fat, and much lower in cholesterol.
On top of the health benefits you can get from the ground turkey in this recipe, the sweet potatoes (one of my favorite foods) also provide many health benefits. Some of these include:
- Prevention of heart problems
- Fights against colds and flus
- High in vitamin D and vitamin B6
- Immunity boosting
- Fights against certain types of cancer
I can go on and on about sweet potatoes for hours, and you can sit there and listen to me go on and on about them, OR you can check out this recipe and go enjoy some sweet potatoes for yourself (along with amazing other ingredients too, of course)!
7. Southwestern Stuffed Pepper Soup

This soup never fails to bring comfort into my kitchen. It’s the perfect way to enjoy south of the border flavor through brown rice, sour cream or my favorite: Greek yogurt, and fire-roasted diced tomatoes.
Hot and healthy dinners are the perfect ways to end the week.
Sundays are my rest days from working out. These are the days in which I try to rest from everything else life throws at me. Although this resting I speak of usually turns into cleaning and doing work from home, this Southwestern Stuffed Pepper Soup helps me to cool down and cozy up at the end of the day!
