With ingredients like high protein chicken breast, savory blue cheese, and fiber-rich spinach, these wraps will keep you energized all day long. Simply fold it up and give it a bit of crispy heat, then you’re ready to go!

These folded wraps have been a hit on social media. They are often made with different meats and cheeses, but you can also find vegetarian, vegan, or even sweet versions (like our very own sweet tortilla wrap!) With all of the possible variations, we wanted to provide an ingredient combination that we think everyone will enjoy! I mean, after all, who doesn’t love buffalo chicken?!
Buffalo Chicken Made Healthy
Buffalo chicken is so tasty and can be added to so many different types of recipes. With this wrap, we’ve taken the basics of a buffalo chicken dip and turned it into a healthy wrap! Things like whole wheat tortillas, spinach, chicken breast, and blue cheese make this dish high in fiber and protein. It’s great for keeping you full and energized, all day long. Keep in mind, if you don’t like blue cheese, you can swap it out with gorgonzola or shredded mozzarella!
How To Wrap Up This Recipe
You can prepare this buffalo chicken wrap in just three easy steps and about 20-minutes!
1. Cook the Chicken
The first thing you’ll need to do is cook up your chicken breast and get it nice and saucy. If you’ve already got cooked chicken prepped, feel free to use it! Shredded or diced will do the trick. If not, get some fresh chicken breast and dice it up. Season it with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium high heat and pour in your olive oil. Once hot, add your chicken and cook all the way through, about 6 to 8 minutes. Check that the internal temperature is 165 degrees fahrenheit if you’re not sure. Once cooked, remove it from the heat and toss it in the buffalo sauce. Set aside.
2. Fold Your Wrap
Once your chicken is ready, you can start creating your wrap. Start by cutting one line in the tortilla from the middle to the edge. Using that line as a guide, spread the cream cheese on the first quarter of the tortilla. In the next quarter, lay your buffalo chicken, making sure to transfer over some of the sauce, as well. Spread the blue cheese in the next quarter, then arrange spinach on top of it. In the last quarter, drizzle 1 to 2 tablespoons of extra buffalo sauce. At this point, your tortilla should look like a 4-piece pizza with different toppings on each quarter. Now you can begin to fold. Fold the first quarter, which will be the one with the cut next to it over on top of the one next to it. Pick up the layered triangle and fold onto the next quarter. Pick it up one more time and fold on top of the last bit to form a triangle. Now, all of the toppings should be inside and you have a tortilla pocket filled with all of the ingredients.
3. Heat (and Crisp) it Up!
Lastly, heat a skillet over medium heat and cook your tortilla for 1 to 3 minutes on each side to heat everything up. Feel free to cook it longer if you want the tortilla extra crunchy!
Folded Buffalo Chicken Wraps
Ingredients
- 6 ounces chicken breast diced
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce divided
- 2 whole wheat tortillas 10-inch
- 1/4 cup light cream cheese
- 1/4 cup blue cheese
- 1/2 cup baby spinach chopped
Instructions
- Season the diced chicken breast with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium high heat and pour in your olive oil. Once hot, add your chicken and cook until fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Check that the internal temperature is 165 degrees fahrenheit if you’re not sure.
- Once cooked, remove chicken from heat and toss in 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce. Set aside.
- On each tortilla, cut one line from the middle to the edge. Using that line as a guide, spread the cream cheese on the first quarter of the tortilla.
- In the next quarter, lay the buffalo chicken, making sure to transfer over some of the sauce, as well.
