Your glutes are one of the most functionally important muscle groups in your body. The main role of these muscles is to aid in all forms of movement, including walking, running, jumping, or sitting. Having stronger glutes will make you a better athlete. Aside from becoming more athletic, strengthening those gluteal muscles will simultaneously tighten, lift, and reshape your booty.

The five exercises included in this routine will help you get a firmer, rounder butt in only 5 minutes a day. Each exercise targets your glutes from a different angle. Although this workout only takes 5 minutes, it is actually quite challenging. That’s a good thing, because placing muscles under tension enables them to firm-up and grow.

What you need: a Yoga Mat or Towel / an Interval Timer / Medium-Weight Dumbbells (optional)

What to do: Perform the exercises for the amount of time specified for your fitness level.

We’ve included instructional videos below to ensure that you use proper form. You can perform this routine every day, but we recommended that you take at least one rest day a week.

Beginner: 45 seconds on / 15 seconds rest (body weight)

Intermediate: 45 seconds on / 15 seconds rest (with dumbbells)

Advanced: 60 seconds on / no rest (with or without dumbbells)

You also don’t need a gym membership, because these easy exercises can be performed anywhere. Get your workout in whenever works best for your schedule (in the morning, on your lunch break, before you shower, after dinner, etc…). This routine is also easy enough so you can complete it every day. But, as we said earlier, feel free to give yourself a day of rest here and there.
