Power your day the low-carb way!
Who knew you’d be able to eat low-carb and eat your oats too?! This recipe by Eating Bird Food is for all of my fellow overnight oats lovers out there! It takes away a ton of carbs and adds a ton of protein that will help you to power through your morning.
Just a little side note: if you like nut butter, drizzling some on these overnight oats is a MUST!
My boyfriend’s dad is a HUGE fan of a food I never really hear people eating: sardines. That being said, he goes crazy for this low-carb breakfast salad by Eating Bird Food! It calls for just 5 nutritious ingredients:
- Artichoke hearts
- Sea salt and pepper to taste
So, if you’re a fan of the unpopular food of sardines, then this breakfast salad that only has 4 carbs per serving is for you!
Let me tell you a little secret: I’m not proud of it, but every Christmas for as long as I can remember, my aunt has made apple pie from scratch. To say her apple pie is delicious would be an understatement. To say that she only makes one apple pie would also be an understatement…She makes two: one for the dessert table and one for me. Yup. She makes an entire pie just for me. It’s the best Christmas present ever!!!
With that being said, when I discovered these HEALTHY apple pie muffins by The Big Man’s World, I was ecstatic. With these muffins, I can get my apple pie fix without feeling sluggish and guilty afterwards, and without sacrificing my waistline. These muffins do the exact opposite. They fuel me up, they’re low in carbs, and they make me feel great.
If you’re looking for another apple pie recipe that doesn’t make you feel sluggish or guilty after eating, our Apple Pie Cinnamon Cookies are right up your alley!
I’m speaking to all vegetarians and meat-eaters alike when I say that the tofu in this recipe will make you scream “YUM”. Actually, this entire North African breakfast dish by Live Eat Learn will make you scream “YUM”. Plus, the healthy fats and protein will power your day that low-carb way I keep talking about!
Omelets are my go-to low-carb breakfasts because they’re so easy, so full of protein, and so fun! You can always add or take out ingredients based on your own personal preference. This is especially great for me since I’m always cooking for two or more. Since they are so easy and since everyone always wants something different, omelets are the perfect breakfast, lunch, and dinner in my book. I can load mine up with veggies and my boyfriend’s up with meat and cheese at the same time!
But, some days, I get lucky and everyone does want the same thing! That usually happens when I bring the idea of making this Baked Denver Omelet by Cooking Classy to the table. We almost never finish our food at my house, so leftovers are always the name of the game. Luckily, this baked omelet is great for refrigerating for later in the week.
A jumbo pancake?! Heck yes, I’m in!
This vegan pancake recipe by Oh She Glows does not put its name to shame. It is definitely jumbo, definitely filling, and definitely low in carbs. How? Well, that’s where the chickpeas come in! They’re so high in protein and so low in carbohydrates, making chickpea flour a great pancake ingredient, here.
They come out the size of your skillet (I know, it’s amazing), and can really be topped with whatever you want! I topped mine with our Avocado Hummus and Spicy Mango Salsa, and it was a magical low-carb breakfast, to say the least.
This recipe has:
- A little amount of calories
- A little amount of carbs

You really can’t go wrong with this low-carb breakfast recipe of ours. I promise you that it will leave you and your whole family feeling powered up for the rest of the day!
Now that you have enough recipes to last you almost an entire month, what are you waiting for?! Throw some low-carb days into the mix and see how your body feels! Sometimes, my body needs the carbs. Other times, it thanks me for cutting some out! Your diet all depends on your goals. If you’re trying to lose weight or kick a sugar addiction to the curb, eating low-carb is a great idea. And, let’s be honest, we all get a little sugar crazy every now and then (especially around the holidays), so powering your morning with a low-carb breakfast is the perfect way to get back on track!
