Road Warrior Workouts

There's always a way to workout!

Do you find it tough to keep your workouts going while traveling?

Below is a video that demonstrates some exercises you can do right in your hotel room without a gym.

The Descending Ladder – This exercise consists of push-ups, sit ups and squats. To start the ladder, do 10 push-ups, 10 sit ups and 10 squats, and then repeat the sequence doing 9 of each exercise, then 8 of each exercise, etc. until you reach 1 of each exercise.

Tabata Interval Training – A Tabata interval is basically 20 seconds of interval work with a 10 second rest period between each interval. Tabata timers are available online or as an app available for download to your iPhone or other smartphone. The video demonstrated an 8 interval Tabata with burpees, low squats with jumps, mountain climbers, and lunges.

Abdominals – You always need to work your abs whether you’re traveling or not. This video demonstrates regular and figure-four abdominal crunches.

The video also cautions you to watch what you eat while traveling. One thing that can help is to research area restaurants before traveling, and try to find ones that publish their nutrition information so you can stay on track.
