weight loss and weight management

As a woman in today’s society, I’m aware that there’s this constant pressure for us to not only look good, but feel good. We all want to feel confident, and from one woman to another, I want you to feel just as confident as I want to feel myself. If you’re like the majority of women, part of feeling confident is learning to love your body on the outside, as well as in. This may include losing weight, so we’ve compiled a list of the 10 top weight loss tips for women to help you reach your goals.

Despite the fitness world’s motivation, inspiration, and love and support for one another (especially on social media), it’s still difficult for us women to lose weight. It’s difficult, but not impossible. You can lose weight, look good, and feel good with these weight loss tips.

These tips are especially designed to help women who are craving that all-too-common feeling of “Wow, I look good”. Each and every woman out there can implement these tips into their daily lives easily. And, if followed, each and every woman out there can look and feel as good as the next. Follow these 10 Top Weight Loss Tips For Women and show them to your friends so that they, too, can feel confident and accomplished!

Tip #1: Start small

Have you ever gone on a diet and put everything you had into following that diet only to find that you’ve fallen off the bandwagon after only a week? So many of us have been there and done that, so you are not alone. Want to know the reason for that constant falling off of the bandwagon?

Well, the reason is simple. Diets force us to start off too big. We restrict ourselves far too much and when our cravings can’t hold off any longer, we give into them–and we don’t give in lightly. Before you know it, we’re on our kitchen floor with a double cheeseburger, French fries, and a large milkshake after a full week of eating straight salads.

Just like the reason, the solution is simple. Start small. You’re much more likely to stick to a clean eating plan when you’re filling yourself up with foods that are healthy, yet full of flavor. The same goes for exercising. You don’t have to run seven miles your first day of working out. Start out with walking for 30 minutes a day. When that doesn’t get your heart rate up enough, move on to jogging. Then, when you’re ready for something more intense, move onto something like weight lifting.

Tip #2: Make your favorite foods healthier

This is one of my favorite top weight loss tips for women because it means that we don’t necessarily have to say “goodbye” to our favorite foods. Before parting ways with them for good, try making them healthier. Here, at SkinnyMs, we take pride in making normally unhealthy foods healthier. Eating your favorite foods that are made with nutritious ingredients will help you to stay on track and continue to lose weight–but it will help you to lose it happily.

Tip #3: Eat slowly

The third item on this list of top weight loss tips for women really speaks to me. Whenever I eat too fast, I find that I also eat too much. The slower you eat, the easier your body and mind will be able to register the fact that you’re full. Once your body and mind alert you that you no longer need any more food to feel satisfied, you’ll stop eating and, therefore, eat less. Eating the correct portion sizes and stopping yourself from feeling overly full will help you to lose weight.

Tip #4: Meal prep

I know that you may very well be a busy woman. You might even use the excuse “I’m too busy” when conversing about losing the weight you want to lose. Well, if that’s the case, then this weight loss tip for women is for you. If that is the case, then hear me out. I’m going to tell you something, woman to woman: There is no such thing as being too busy.

We are all busy bees in one way or another. Plus, the things that you usually don’t think you have time for (like meal prepping) will actually save you time in the long run. By taking time out of one single day a week, you can save yourself tons of time during the other six days of the week.

Plus, meal prepping is worth it when it comes to weight loss. By preparing your meals in advance, the chances of you eating foods that aren’t good for you and could hinder your weight loss journey are so slim. Don’t believe me? Tip #5: Get rid of unhealthy foods

If you’re trying to lose weight, you have no use for cookies, unhealthy chips, or anything of the sort. The only thing that those foods will do for you in the long run is make it take longer for you to reach your weight loss goals.

Besides, I guarantee that anything you crave junk food-wise, can be made healthy. You want cookies? Check out our healthier recipes here. You’re craving salty chips? Find some healthier ones here. You saw someone at work slurping some ice cream up during break? Make your own healthy ice cream with these recipes.

Point proven! You can have your favorite foods even while losing weight. These top weight loss tips for women just keep getting better and better, don’t they?

Tip #6: Eat more protein

Protein keeps you full for longer. So, if us women fuel our bodies with healthy proteins like lean meats, eggs, and Greek yogurt, we’re more likely to eat less during the day. We’re, therefore, more likely to accomplish our weight loss goals.

Tip #7: Workout with a friend

There’s no better motivation than a friend who’s after the same goals as you are. I, for one, love going for walks with my friends, with my mom, and even with my brother.

So many people use the excuse that they’re too busy to find much time to see their friends and family that when they do get free time, they’d rather go spend it socializing than exercising. Well, by working out with your friends and/or family, you can do both at the same time AND feel amazing afterwards! Yes, that’s right. Us women can gossip while we exercise! What a great weight loss tip!
