So Healthy it’s Deceiving
SkinnyMs. has devised a healthy “milkshake” recipe that will satisfy your sweet tooth without the extra fat, sugar, or calories.
Greek Yogurt – The Greek yogurt in this recipe brings tons of healthy probiotics to the table, which are important for gut health. It packs a hefty dose of protein, too! Additionally, Greek yogurt is a great source of calcium, which helps maintain healthy bones. Try placing your Greek yogurt in the freezer for an even creamier shake!
Bananas – Bananas provide healthy nutrients like fiber, potassium, and antioxidants, which are great for immune health and inflammation. Make sure your bananas are frozen before adding them to the blender. This will provide you with a cold and uber-creamy ice cream-like beverage.
Do you make a lot of blended drinks and smoothies? If so, try to get into the habit of chopping up all kinds of fruit and freezing it so you always have some on hand.
Coconut Milk – Coconut milk is a powerhouse of healthy fats and antioxidants, including vitamins C and E. Not only that but when light coconut milk and Greek yogurt are chilled and blended, you get perfection in a glass! This cold combo makes for a healthy and creamy ice cream substitute that’s lower in calories and fat but high in protein and nutrients!
Protein Powder – The additional protein in this recipe adds more vanilla flavor and is a powerful muscle booster. Heads up! There are many protein powders out there, so make sure to read the ingredients and pick one that you’re comfortable with. Check out our informational article on how to find the best protein powders.

Is there something else I could use instead of the frozen banana???? Bananas make me violently ill!! I am so desperate for a healthy shake!! This looked awesome but cannot have it.
Heidi, Try avocado, mango, kiwi, or any fruit that will make the shake creamy.
omg, this is the best recipe everrr!!! I love the creaminess of it and the texture is so smooth!!!!!
We’re so glad you enjoyed it, Vera! 😃
What brand of light coconut milk do you use? Do you buy it in the refrigerated section or in the can? What brand of protein powder do you use? What brand of yogurt do you use? I was thinking of using Oikos Triple Zero Vanilla because it is only 1 Personal Point for Weight Watchers. I am trying to keep this shake very tasty but no more than 3 Personal Points.
Donna, The ingredients you mentioned are fine. We used Vega protein powder, canned Native Forest lite coconut milk, and Kite Hill Almond Milk Yogurt.
