- 4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and cored
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sucanat, coconut palm sugar or honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup 100% pomegranate juice, no sugar added
Slice apples into quarters and add to the slow cooker along with the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours or until apples are chunk consistency. Recommend 4-5 quart slow cooker.
Remove cloves and serve.
