Now, you may be skeptical of frosting with no sugar, but I promise, this clean, 3-ingredient vanilla frosting is just as rich, creamy, and sweet as anything you can buy in a can. And, bonus, it’s not full of questionable preservatives that will make it last longer than your last relationship.

With just these three clean ingredients, you can whip up a batch of frosting you won’t regret later. Cream cheese gives this frosting its thick and creamy texture, while also adding some rich flavor. Raw honey adds a touch of natural sweetness, which is all you’ll really need, I promise. If you’re looking for a sweeter frosting, however, just add extra honey. Add by the teaspoon until you reach the desired sweetness. Finally, natural vanilla adds, you guessed it, that classic vanilla flavor you just can’t beat.

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, reduced-fat
  • 1/4 cup raw honey (use a thick, light color honey, my absolute favorite Honest Raw Honey)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla


  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and beat until fluffy, 3-5 minutes.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to spread on your favorite cake or cupcakes.
  3. For a sweeter frosting, add 1 additional teaspoon of honey until desired sweetness is reached.
