5 Lunch Recipes the Kids Will Love

Whether you’re here because you have a picky eater on your hands or are just looking for some new ideas to fill up your child’s lunch box, we can help! We know how challenging it is to come up with exciting, new lunches that are not only tasty but nutritious as well. Below are five of our best lunch recipes the kids will love (and you’ll love how easy they are to make, too).

Each recipe is made with clean ingredients designed to nourish growing bodies. The sooner that children learn healthy food can taste great, the better chance they have at becoming healthy adults!

5 Lunch Recipes the Kids Will Love

1. Clean Eating Nut Butter and Jam Sandwich

This first option places a healthy spin on one of the most popular lunch options of all time: The PB&J sandwich! Using fiber-rich whole grain bread, naturally sweetened jam, and clean-eating nut butter, this sandwich is guaranteed to satisfy the belly and the taste buds!

2. Turkey Avocado Roll-Ups

Turkey Avocado Roll-ups

These turkey roll-ups are way more fun than a regular turkey sandwich! They’re super easy to pack into a lunch box and even more fun to eat! Each serving offers a whopping amount of protein that will keep your child full and focused throughout the remainder of the day.

3. Skinny Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps

Bacon adds flavor to any dish, and chicken wraps are no different! This well-balanced lunch is made with whole wheat tortillas, lean protein, fresh veggies, and clean-eating ranch. These wraps taste so good, we think you’ll make yourself one for lunch as well! You may even want to eat the leftovers for dinner.

4. Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese

At only 244 calories per serving, you can feel good about giving your children this healthy mac and cheese for lunch. We’ve swapped out refined white pasta and replaced it with whole wheat penne, and we also use lower-calorie options for full-fat milk and cheese. When combined, these healthy ingredients make for one scrumptious meal!

5. Quinoa Chicken Nuggets

We thought that we’d finish off our list with another childhood favorite. Five of these delicious quinoa chicken nuggets contain fewer than 400 calories. We coated lean white meat chicken with whole wheat flour and quinoa. Then, we cook the nuggets in extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) for a healthy spin on this classic dish. Don’t forget to make Healthy Homemade Ketchup for dipping!

Which one of these healthy lunches are you going to make first? Know that whichever you choose, you will not be disappointed! They all taste amazing and will nourish your child’s growing body and mind!
