I tried this today and it is so tasty. Love and thanks for recipe.
SamKem, You're welcome:)!!
Just tried this smoothie for breakfast and it was delicious. Very delicate flavors and the banana didn't overpower the whole flavor. I ususally skip the bananas in my smoothies 's because of that. I used roasted (not salted) almonds since I didn't have raw almonds. This is a new favorite. Thanks for this recipe.
I happened to have all the ingredients for this recipe and decided to try it. It is super delicious. I used organic soymilk creamy vanilla. This smoothie is a real treat. My goodness, I feel a little guilty drinking this, but it is healthy. I will be making this one for my daughter.
S. Y. Higley, That is great to hear! We are glad you enjoyed it!
So many choices with almond milk…did you use sweetened, unsweetened or Vanilla?
Barb, We used unsweetened.
Is t best to leave on the apple peel? And, would blanched almonds be easier to digest?
Amoreena, By leaving the peeling on you’ll get more fiber. I would recommend organic if you decide to leave the peeling on. The almonds don’t have to be blanced since they are ground during the blending process, however blanced will work as well. 🙂
Fallen in love with almond protein smothie . Refreshinnnnng
I have a hard time with apples… is there anything that can be subbed in?
Lauren, Just about any fruit, berry, or melon will work. I would recommend honeydew. 🙂
Hey, would you recommend making fresh each morning? Or would they say for a certain amount of days? Thanks 🙂
Fresh is always best when possible. If you plan to make ahead, you’ll need to freeze then defrost in the fridge.
What about a sub for people who cant eat tree nuts?
You can use a nut free milk and a nut-free butter instead of the almond ingredients.
Y to use frozen banana. Can I use cows milk instead of almond milk
Sure can! 🙂
Can I omit the apple or will it throw off the taste/texture?
Yes, you can omit the apple but it will change the flavor/nutritional info.
Looking forward to see the recipe
