Do you carry an extra lip balm in your bag at all times? Do your lips feel dry much of the time? It may not surprise you that our lips are one of the most sensitive parts of our body, and are prone to dry skin. A lack of oil glands and fewer layers of epidermis mean that instead of looking radiant and luscious, our lips often appear dry and cracked. Our DIY lip scrub is formulated to gently exfoliate dry skin and moisturize the layers of skin underneath, making your lips feel healthy and look gorgeous.

Brown Sugar – The fine grains of brown sugar exfoliate dead skin cells and help reveal healthy new ones. Brown sugar also absorbs natural moisture and keeps it locked in, which results in hydrated and fuller looking lips.

Coconut Oil – Coconut oil is rich in antioxidants, which protect skin on a cellular level. It also contains vitamin E, which hydrates and soothes sunburn.

Honey – Honey is a natural antibacterial agent, and, as a natural moisturizer, it helps to hydrate lips.

What to Do:

1. In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla.

2. Use a spoon to mix all of the ingredients thoroughly.

3. Apply to your lips liberally. You can purchases these small tins to store your scrub.

4. You can use this lip scrub as often as needed to keep your lips moisturized and luscious.
