Chicken + Salsa + Seasoning = Success!

The simple combination of cooked, shredded chicken, along with your favorite taco seasoning and salsa make this recipe as easy as it gets! Next, it’s even quicker with leftover cooked rotisserie chicken from the market. Finally, shake things up by using a green (verde) salsa, or different flavored salsa, to add a tasty twist to the recipe. Que bueno!

Not just for tacos

The beauty of these Easy 3-Ingredient Chicken Tacos is that you don’t have to use the filling for just classic tacos. There are several alternative ways you can use this simple recipe. For one alternative, make a tasty taco salad with some fresh greens and veggies. Top with sliced avocado and a simple cilantro-lime dressing and you have a tasty, low-carb meal. For another meal, you can make some fantastic enchiladas with this filling as well. For yet another option, top a baked potato with the filling. Easy 3-Ingredient Chicken Tacos

With only three wholesome and flavorful ingredients, these chicken tacos are easy, versatile, and super tasty.

  • 4 cups boneless and skinless chicken breasts cooked and shredded (this is a great way to use leftover chicken breast!)
  • 16 ounces salsa jar, no sugar added
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (we use and recommend our Skinny Ms. Taco Seasoning)


  • In a large skillet, combine all ingredients. Bring to a simmer and cook until hot, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Use in your preferred taco shells and top with your favorite toppings!
