Big 5 Superfood Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet apple organic cored - keep peeling
  • 1 cup red grapes frozen
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup kefir plain fat free
  • 1/2 cup green tea unsweetened and chilled - home brewed is best
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Add amount of ice according to thickness preferred.

  1. I’ve been wondering about pre-workout smoothies, and so I’m gonna have to try this, it looks delicious!

    1. Kefir is a lot like liquid yogurt drinks. It's typically made with cows milk and fermented like yogurt, with probiotic cultures, i.e. healthy bacteria. It's good for digestion and your intestinal tract, like yogurt. It's more popular than yogurt in places like Russia.
