Well, this Buffalo Ranch Chickpea Burger gives you the same delicious taste and texture while also treating your body and your appetite! This completely vegetarian burger incorporates the best seasonings, veggies, and legumes. The dense burger patty combines chickpeas, potatoes, oats, onions, carrots, and a few spices in a food processor. That’s it! They’re high in nutrition while low in ingredients that set your diet back. Simply pop them into the oven for a crisp, satisfying burger without all the deep-frying. The homemade buffalo Ranch sauce uses high-protein Greek yogurt for even more nutritious flavor. Plus, you can complete the nutritious meal with these yummy Asparagus Fries!

    For the Burger:
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 medium potato, peeled and cooked
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, diced small
  • 1/4 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce (more or less depending on spice tolerance)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry dill
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
    For the Buffalo Ranch:
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/24teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoon Buffalo sauce (more or less depending on spice tolerance)


    For the Burger:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray and set aside.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Blend on high until and mix until well combined but not mushy. Form into two equal sized patties. Place on prepared baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes. Remove and flip the burgers. Return to the oven and bake and additional 8 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, serve on a whole wheat burger bun with ranch sauce and our favorite burger toppings!
    For the Buffalo Ranch:
  1. Combine all ingredients together and whisk well. Serve 1 tablespoon on top of chickpea burger
  2. TIP: This burger tastes great with a few tablespoons of your favorite guacamole or sliced avocado!
