This simple potato recipe is so easy and quick to make. Begin by heating one tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Then, mix together garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, and honey in a bowl. After that, add cut up new potatoes to the skillet and pour the Asian sauce on top. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the potatoes are crispy and golden and the sauce has thickened. Remove from heat and enjoy!

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce optional tamari
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 pound new potatoes cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons green onion chopped


  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and corn starch and set aside.
  • Add bite size potatoes to the skillet, toss to coat with the oil, and cook until just until crispy and golden… being careful not to burn.
  • Pour soy mixture over potatoes and continue to cook until mixture thickens and potatoes are fork tenter. Add additional water if needed, 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top. Enjoy!

  1. Needed a quick cook to finish off some potatoes before they went bad. Decided to google Asian potatoes and this came up. I’m very pleasantly surprised. Did about 2 pounds of potato’s and kept the cornstarch mixture about the same. Came out excellent. I think next time I might add some ginger and see how that goes.5 stars
