Equipment Needed for Intermediate and Advanced Levels: dumbbells (10-20 lbs), interval timer, step/chair
What to Do: Perform each exercise for 1 minute with no rest. Rest 1 minute after the first set and repeat 3 times. Complete this workout 3 times a week on non-consecutive days.
Beginner Level: Body Weight Only
Intermediate Level: 10-15 pound dumbbells
Advanced Level: 15-20 pound dumbbells
1. Body Weight Squats
2. Dumbbell Step-up
3. Alternating Dumbbell Lunge
4. Plie Squats
5. Dumbbell Side Lunge
6 & 7. Glute Kick Back
Additional Tips for Success
1. At the top of every move, make sure you squeeze your glutes to get an additional burn for fast muscle growth.
2. The Glutes muscles are the largest, therefore using heavier weights will lead to quicker results.
3. Keep your core tight throughout each exercise. This will help avoid strain on your lower back.
