Try dipping veggies in this delicious salsa!
We would like to thank Kristen, from Make The Best of Everything, for submitting this yummy dip recipe. It is one of our favorite healthy salsa dips and is perfect for a snack or when you are making food for a social event. Delicious salsas are a great substitute for creamy, high-fat dips. They liven up chips and veggies, but do not include all the unhealthy ingredients and calories found in many store-bought dips.
Salsa is also a great way to get kids and adult non-veggie lovers to eat a balanced diet. Even those who avoid the taste of vegetables will love the tangy taste when those veggies are dipped in salsa. You can dip any vegetable into salsa, but peppers and celery are especially delicious.
Salsa is also a great alternative for other condiments that are sometimes high in sugar. Love ketchup? Salsa is a great alternative. We feature a healthier version of ketchup on our site, but salsa is even lower in calories and feature more than just tomatoes. Salsa tastes great on burgers and with fries, and is a great way to cut calories when you are dieting.
Another way to use salsa is as a topping. Love salad, but prefer to eat it without all of the fat and calories found in many dressings? Salsa works just as well when it comes to keeping your salads topped with something tasty and moist. It also tastes great on nachos and baked potatoes. Or you can top baked chicken breast with salsa for a tasty Mexican flair!
If you are looking for a great snack food or you are entertaining at a casual event, this salsa recipe is fantastic. Looking for other great party foods? We have a collection of foods that are easy to make and loved by everyone. Try our Spicy Tailgate Meatballs or our Blood Red Beet Hummus.

This is clearly the wrong recipe as the ingredients list chicken and a jar of salsa!
The recipe is correct, Suzy. Those are the ingredients.
Do you have a particular salsa that you like to buy? Thanks 🙂
Any salsa with no added sugar is great, Lenore 🙂
