Will the recipe for Herb Crusted Turkey Breast work the same if the turkey breast is sliced? It's not cooked.

    • Skinny Ms.  February 15, 2012

Janet – It may not need as long to cook, but it should work okay. Might be a tad bit on the dry side though.

      • Janet M Ely  February 16, 2012

Do you think I should add any liquid?

        • Skinny Ms.  February 16, 2012

Janet – No, you don't need to. At least I didn't when I made it.

          • Janet M Ely  February 18, 2012

I made it with the sliced turkey breast fillets and it turned out great. Not dry at all. It did cook in about 3 hrs but it also was a total of about 2.3 lbs insread of 2.5.

Janet – Fabulous! We're happy it worked out!

  3. Judy  November 14, 2012

Your picture shows the skin on the turkey – your recipe says take the skin off – how can you get it browned without the skin??

    • Skinny Ms.  November 14, 2012

Judy, It should have said we removed skin before eating. Just made the correction…thanks! 🙂

  4. Amanda  March 17, 2013

Hi! For a larger turkey breast (5 lbs), would I just double the cooking time? Or would that be too long? Thanks!

    • Skinny Ms.  March 18, 2013

Amanda, If the turkey fits in your slow cooker, you will need to cook it 1-2 hours longer. Be sure to check for doneness with the steps indicated in the recipe.

  5. Chelsea  March 4, 2015

Was the turkey breast you used frozen? Just wondering if I should have it thawed out =)

    • SkinnyMs  March 4, 2015

Chelsea, Yes, you have to thaw the turkey in the fridge until totally defrosted before using here. Thanks for checking:).

  6. Reanna  April 14, 2016

    What about turkey tenderloin

    • Gale Compton  April 15, 2016

Reanna, We haven’t tried turkey tenderloin but it should work fine. Adjust the cooking time accordingly. 🙂

  7. Julie  April 30, 2016

How long should a 24 ounce tenderloin be cooked?

    • Gale Compton  May 1, 2016

Julie, Are you talking about a pork tenderloin and in the oven or slow cooker?

  8. Liz  April 5, 2017

Would it be okay to use a breast without the bone?

    • Gale Compton  April 6, 2017

Liz, That’s fine. We used breast on the bone for a more tender and moist recipe.

  9. Becky  August 1, 2017

The recipe says it yields 3 servings, but the serving size says 1/6 of the recipe. Can you clarify please?

    • Gale Compton  August 2, 2017

Becky, It has been corrected. This recipe makes about 6 servings.
