Sweet and Spicy Nuts
Ingredients
- 1 cup pecan halves raw
- 1 cup almonds raw
- 1 cup hazelnuts or macadamia nuts, raw
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil optional coconut oil
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or cooking spray.
- Mix olive oil, maple syrup, salt, cayenne pepper, salt, and chili powder in a bowl until combined, and then toss in the nuts to coat evenly.
- Spread in an even layer on the baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so to move nuts around.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool. Enjoy!
