Get your chocolate on.
Meal replacement bars and shakes can be really helpful in a pinch. We’ve all been there. Your layover is only 30 minutes long, so that bar in your carry-on bag is your only source of energy for the day. You’ve got 15 minutes to pick up the kids from school, and that canned shake in the cabinet will give you the time you need to head out the door. But have you ever looked at the labels on many meal replacement drinks and bars? Sure, they may contain ingredients that fulfill the most basic of your needs, but they also contain a whole lot of other ingredients, some of which may be additives, preservatives, or refined ingredients that aren’t good for you.
At Skinny Ms., we offer you solutions for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and desserts. And we’re going the extra mile by offering you a homemade, DIY, clean eating, healthy meal replacement drink as well! Our chocolate meal replacement drink is delicious as well as healthy. Banana gives the drink sweetness, almond milk lends it a creamy texture, and chocolate protein powder gives it that crave-worthy chocolate punch you’re looking for.
And best of all, we only use a handful of ingredients, because a few ingredients are all you need to meet your needs. Banana is your complex carbohydrate, that will fuel you and keep you energized. Almond milk and protein powder provide protein to make that energy last. And flax seeds offer omega-3 fatty acids and a ton of fiber. Drink up, and go about your day!

Could you make this with coconut milk instead of almond milk?
Hi Laura! Yes, you can make this with coconut milk!
If I ate the banana on the side will I still get the same benefits? I cannot do the taste of banana in my drink. I made one this morning for the first time and all I taste is banana. I want to taste chocolate. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Hi Amy, the banana in this recipe contains a lot of the nutrients and protein. If you remove the banana you will be losing some of the benefits.
This has 26g of sugar!
I corrected the data. There are 15 grams of sugar for 10 ounces. Most of the natural sugar comes from the banana.
