A Dish Bursting With Feel-Good Ingredients
This dish most certainly deserves an immune-boosting trophy, if such an award existed, thanks to certain superfoods and unique spices. Both chopped mint and cilantro add undeniably bold flavor to these chicken salad kale wraps while delivering some awesome health benefits. Both leafy greens have anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties that can keep the cold and flu at bay. Moreover, these superpowers can soothe digestion, alleviate swelling, and treat nausea.
Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice help play a part in dressing up this dish by adding mouthwatering tanginess. Besides contributing to taste, these superfoods also contain immune-boosting abilities. Apple cider vinegar (ACV) contains so many incredible health benefits. Research states that ACV has antimicrobial properties that fight bacteria, yeasts, and fungal infections. In fact, some people actually take daily shots of ACV. Granted, a swig of the pungent vinegar might not sound super appealing, but it certainly has an effect. Would we take it that far? Probably not, but tossing it in this recipe works just as well and tastes way more delicious.

On the other hand, lemon juice promotes hydration, packs in a hearty dose of vitamin C, and aids in digestion. In addition, it helps your body maintain a healthy pH balance and also acts as a detoxifying agent. When these properties team up, they can help you stay healthy and ward off disease. We like the sound of that!
Let’s Talk About Kale
We can’t talk about the other ingredients without quickly discussing the star of the show: kale. Instead of using whole wheat wraps, we’ve ditched the added carbs and subbed in large kale leaves. This antioxidant-rich alternative deliciously cradles the filling while saving you a boatload of calories.
