What is Caprese?

The colors of this yummy salad just scream Italy!

Caprese refers to the Italian dish traditionally made up of tomato, basil, and mozzarella. It is a tribute to the nation’s tricolor flag (red, white, and green) and is named after the Italian island of Capri. The traditional ingredients of caprese can be served in the form of antipasto, pizza, pasta, or sandwiches.

Fresh, Italian Flavors with a Twist

This recipe is great for lunch or dinner.

We’ve spun the original caprese recipe into a high protein salad dish. Capturing the same traditional flavors, this salad also includes lots of leafy greens, lean chicken breast, and a special homemade balsamic dressing. All of these extra ingredients help turn this traditional appetizer into a filling main that will give you tons of energy and nutrients.

High Protein Salad

Our delicious salad is ade with lean and fresh ingredients.

Our caprese salad has high protein ingredients including lean chicken and part-skim mozzarella. Together, these ingredients help bring this dish to a whopping 27 grams per serving! Protein helps keep you fuller longer and can support muscle building and bone health. These protein sources are also low in saturated fat, which means that they don’t cause the same negative effects that high fat protein sources (such as red meat and dark poultry meat) could. Isn’t it wonderful when healthy ingredients taste good?!
