Traditional Greek Dish
Tzatziki is a traditional Mediterranean dish that is made with yogurt and cucumbers. It was originally used as a side or dip to hot and spicy rice dishes in order to offset the heat. Nowadays, this dish is well known for its flavor and refreshing qualities. We’ve taken the original ingredients and put our own spin on them to make a fresh and creamy salad that you can enjoy as a main or side.
Cucumbers for Your Health!
Cucumber is known for its hydrating, refreshing components, and the rumors are true! Cucumbers are made of 96% water, which in turn keep you hydrated when you eat them. They’re also a great source of other nutrients including potassium, vitamin K, and fiber, which are all essential for things like good digestion and cardiovascular health.

Make this Fresh and Creamy Cucumber Salad
Begin by preparing your vegetables. You’ll need to dice the cucumbers into half-inch (or smaller) pieces, slice your red onions, and chop your tomatoes into quarters. Add these veggies to a large bowl.
In a separate medium-sized bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, fresh dill, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic to make the creamy dressing.
A quick note on the dill: Fresh herbs are always better both in taste and nutrition, however, you may use dried dill in this recipe if that’s all you have on hand.
Once the sauce is well combined, pour it over top of the veggie mixture. Toss it until it’s completely covered.
The colder this salad is, the better it will taste! If you’re not serving it right away, you’ll want to cover it and stick it in the fridge for an hour or so. If you’re serving it soon, try to give it at least a few minutes in the freezer to get it nice and cold!
