Some foods may be the enemy, but these foods are the heros!
50. Corn
As a kid, corn on the cob was one of my favorite meals. That was, of course, before I cared about it getting all stuck in my teeth!
I’m glad I’m a big corn fan, though, because the starch is filling and helps to maintain blood sugar levels. It’s always nice to find out that a favorite childhood food can be healthy! You just have to make sure that you prepare it in a healthy way. Corn can be prepared in a healthy way with our recipe for Loaded Southwest Corn and Zucchini Skillet.
51. Grapes
If you’re like me and love eating frozen grapes for dessert, prepare to want to eat even MORE frozen grapes for dessert. The fruit contains a high amount of water and fiber, which both produce that feeling of satiety. They’re also a good source of antioxidants.
I don’t know about you, but that makes me want to run to make our Fig, Grape, and Spinach Salad right now!
52. Salsa
Just because this list is coming to an end, doesn’t mean the fiesta has to! Throw your taste buds a party by enjoying some salsa!
I love, love, love eating salsa. I eat it on top of salads, in my tacos, and, of course, just with some healthy, whole grain tortilla chips! I’m okay with enjoying the food often because of it’s weight loss benefits. Some of these benefits include:
- Contains antioxidants
- Provides your body with vegetables
- Low in calories
So, going for some organic, all-natural salsa isn’t going to break your diet. If you make sure to control your portions, it can help you to shed those pounds by replacing other high calorie snacks with it. You can even make your own salsa! I love making our Mango Red Pepper Salsa to put on the appetizer table at parties.
Now that you have over fifty different foods to add to your weight loss menu, the only thing that could possibly be getting in the way of you reaching your goal weight is you. Don’t let that be the case! Find that motivation within you, go to the grocery store, grab some of these deliciously nutritious foods, get in some exercise, and become the happiest, healthiest you! I believe in you and you should too!

Who said weight loss has to taste bad? So much beautiful food – I’ll probably end up marrying oats one day…
Harry, I love your sense of humor. 🙂
Thanks for sharing.
Is there a clean list somewhere of just the foods without the comments amount each food? I appreciate these suggestions and would love to print a list.
Pam, There isn’t but you can easily copy and paste, then remove the additional text.
