52 Quick Weight Loss Foods

Some foods may be the enemy, but these foods are the heros!

43. Cucumbers

I eat my weight loss snack of hummus with cucumbers and carrots because they, too, make for great weight loss foods. We’ll get to the crunchy orange vegetable in just a moment, but first, let’s talk cucumbers.

Since you need to lower your calorie intake in order to shed the pounds, eating low calorie foods like cucumbers in place of higher calorie foods like chips can really benefit your weight loss journey.

Try pairing them with hummus like me, or try our Watermelon & Cucumber Salad.

44. Carrots

Now, let’s get to this vibrant veggie. Carrots are one of my favorite vegetables because they taste good, AND raw carrots are the perfect snack to bring along in a plastic baggie. On top of my main reasons for loving carrots, they’re also high in fiber and low in calories. So, try out our Orange Glazed Roasted Carrots for a nice addition to your weight loss menu.

45. Cottage Cheese

Cottage Cheese is made from a great source of dairy protein: whey. The high amounts of protein in cottage cheese help it to make you feel full longer after eating it. My only advice to you when purchasing cottage cheese is to choose low-fat. That way, you can get your protein without getting too much fat.

Turn on that stove of yours, get out a pan, and start making our Skinny Cottage Cheese Pancakes. They never disappoint!

46. Cilantro

Healthy digestion is a big contributing factor when it comes to weight loss. Since cilantro aids in digestion, when used appropriately, it can help with weight loss. One recipe that uses cilantro to its full potential is our recipe for Cilantro-Lime Grilled Sweet Potatoes.

47. Pineapple

With the fruit’s fiber and vitamin C contents, I never feel guilty about ending my night with a bowl of pineapple chunks. It never fails to satisfy my sweet tooth and is a much, much, much better dessert option than ice cream or other high calorie sweets.

You can also try our Chicken, Pineapple, & Mango Salad to get your pineapple fix!

48. Sweet Peppers

Raw peppers are great for snacking, and cooking peppers into meals is also top notch! Peppers are known to be metabolism boosting and they’re also a good snack choice to bring to the beach. Why? Because they’re a snack that usually doesn’t make you bloated, and there’s nothing worse than feeling bigger than you are in a bathing suit!

One of my favorite pepper recipes: Easy Turkey Sausage with Peppers & Onions.

49. Watermelon

The ultimate summertime fruit! I must buy at least 10 watermelons just for myself over the summer (don’t judge me, please).

They’re 92% water and 100% full of nutrients. The biggest weight loss benefit that comes from eating watermelons is the fact that the large amount of water fills you up without you having to eat many calories.

Cool off in the summer sun with our Skinny Watermelon Sorbet recipe!

  1. Who said weight loss has to taste bad? So much beautiful food – I’ll probably end up marrying oats one day…

  2. Is there a clean list somewhere of just the foods without the comments amount each food? I appreciate these suggestions and would love to print a list.
